strawberries romanoff

serves four to six

1 quart strawberries, cleaned and hulled
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
(optional) 1/4 cup Cointreau or Curacao liquor

1. Place strawberries in a bowl and cover with sugar.
2. Pour in orange juice and liquor.
3. Gently stir the fruit mixture.
4. Chill for one hour.
5. Serve with whipped cream or over vanilla ice cream.
